Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Philanthropy Specialist to support Gift Operations and the processing of philanthropic gifts received by a leading healthcare organization. This position is responsible for accurately processing donations, maintaining gift data, reconciling transactions, and researching and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while providing responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Process and post a variety of philanthropic donations accurately and timely using multiple systems, including Annual Fund, credit card, matching gift, special event, and peer-to-peer donations.
  • Reconcile daily deposits and gift exceptions by researching donor and gift information, identifying discrepancies and general ledger impacts, and resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate gift records and documentation while ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and CASE Global Reporting Standards.
  • Research and resolve gift data discrepancies using department guidelines, CASE Global Reporting Standards, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve donation disputes, processing errors, donor account inquiries, and other gift-related issues.
  • Respond to cases, emails, and other inquiries in a timely and professional manner while independently determining appropriate next steps or routing requests to the appropriate team member.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field required; additional equivalent experience may substitute for the required degree on a one-to-one basis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clerical, office, administrative, organizational, or related support experience.
  • Previous experience in Institutional Advancement highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to process and maintain financial and donor information accurately.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to research discrepancies and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, collaborative, and responsive approach.
  • Demonstrated accountability, adaptability, professionalism, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

If you are hired, your hourly pay rate will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the rate mentioned above is the full hourly pay rate for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the rate would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
