Position: Pharmacy Technician (PTCB Certified) – Full Time Direct Hire
Location: Sitka, Alaska
Job Type: Full Time | Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Rotating weekends required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $62,000 – $80,000 annually
Hourly Range: $27.81 – $38.62/hour
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus
$10,000 Relocation Assistance for qualified candidates

Responsibilities:
Pharmacy Operations
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing
- Retrieve, count, label, and package medications
- Enter medication orders into pharmacy systems for pharmacist review
- Maintain medication inventory and stock supplies
- Refill automated dispensing systems and medication cabinets
- Handle controlled substances documentation and delivery
- Monitor refrigerator temperatures and pharmacy equipment
Sterile Compounding & Technical Support
- Prepare and maintain IV room cleanliness
- Support sterile compounding activities
- Maintain hood pressure logs and cleanliness standards
- Follow hazardous drug handling protocols
Customer Service
- Answer pharmacy phone calls and refill requests
- Assist patients at pharmacy windows and waiting areas
- Triage patient questions and escalate concerns appropriately
- Process prescription refills and billing reversals when needed
Qualifications:-
Required:
- Alaska Pharmacy Technician License (required at hire)
- PTCB Certification required within one year of hire
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or healthcare-related experience
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Basic pharmaceutical math skills
Preferred:
- Hospital or healthcare pharmacy experience
- Sterile compounding experience
- Experience with automated pharmacy systems
