    Pharmacy Technician

    Location: Plano, TX

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Verify prescription information and ensure proper labeling of medications.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
    • Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
    • Assist customers by answering questions and providing information about prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
    • Operate pharmacy equipment and software systems effectively.
    • Support pharmacists in compounding medications as needed.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
    • Pharmacy Technician certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT) is a plus.
    • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related healthcare role preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with pharmacy software and technology.
    • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in a retail pharmacy setting in Plano, TX. The role may require standing for extended periods and handling medications and pharmacy equipment.
