Pharmacy Technician (Packaging & Fulfillment) | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Newark, DE 19702 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $25.01/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Potential rotating weekend schedule: Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM–4:00 PM (when weekends are worked, 2 days off during the week)

The Pharmacy Technician (Packaging & Fulfillment) will support prescription fulfillment operations under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, with a strong emphasis on accurate filling/packaging and efficient workflow. This role helps prepare medications, maintain inventory best practices, and support a clean, safe pharmacy environment to ensure timely, accurate service.
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Job Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician (Packaging & Fulfillment) | Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Support prepackaging of medication for dispensing according to standards and applicable regulations
- Assist with non-sterile compounding and IV preparation under pharmacist supervision (as applicable)
- Assist the pharmacist in the final-check workflow by staging medications for review and packaging after approval
- Coordinate accurate and timely delivery readiness to support customer needs
- Maintain inventory practices including receiving/rotating stock, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment; support equipment calibration/safety/cleanliness checks
Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician (Packaging & Fulfillment) | Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Experience: Strong packaging/filling background required; retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
- Must have current PTCB CPHT
