What You’ll Do
- Take in new prescriptions and refills in person, by phone, and electronically
- Enter prescriptions and patient profiles accurately in the pharmacy system
- Count, measure, package, and label medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims, resolve rejections, and help with prior authorizations
- Run the register, handle pickups, and help patients at the counter and drive-thru
- Receive and put away orders, manage inventory, and pull outdated stock
- Answer phones and call patients and prescriber offices about refills and questions
- Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant
What We’re Looking For
- Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration, or eligibility to register before your start date
- National certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred
- [1+] year of retail pharmacy experience preferred; we will train the right person
- Comfortable with insurance billing and third-party adjudication
- Experience with pharmacy software PrimeRx is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Friendly, patient, and professional with customers
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to [25] lbs
- Bilingual ([Spanish / Arabic / other]) a plus
