PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (FILLING & IV PREP) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Medina, OH – 100% on-site
- Payrate: 25/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Mon – Fri + every other weekend
- M-F: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Weekends: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
- Day(s) off during the week when a weekend shift is worked
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (FILLING & IV PREP) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacy Technician (Filling & IV Prep) works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to support prescription filling, non-sterile compounding, and IV preparation. This role also helps with medication prepackaging, final-check workflow support, and accurate/timely coordination of medication delivery while maintaining inventory and a clean, safe pharmacy workspace.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Job Responsibilities
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (FILLING & IV PREP) | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fill prescriptions under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist (RPh)
- Perform non-sterile compounding and assist with IV preparation under direct supervision
- Prepackage medications for dispensing according to standards and government regulations
- Support the pharmacist’s final-check workflow (e.g., staging medication for RPh final review and/or packaging after final review)
- Coordinate accurate and timely delivery to the customer
- Assist with inventory best practices, including receiving/rotating stock, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and supporting physical inventory
- Partner with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean/safe work environment, including equipment checks for calibration, safety, and cleanliness
Qualifications
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (FILLING & IV PREP) | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
- Must be a licensed as a pharmacy tech in the state of OH
- Ability to perform detail-oriented, accuracy-focused work in a regulated setting
- Pharmacy tech experience required
