You'll work closely with experienced pharmacy professionals while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.
What You'll Do
As a Mail Order Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for
Accurately entering prescriptions into the pharmacy system
Interpreting prescription directions (SIG codes)
Calculating and verifying accurate days' supply and quantity (ex: determining total quantity needed based on dosage and duration)
Processing and resolving insurance and third-party claim issues
Researching and troubleshooting prescription processing concerns
Providing professional phone-based support to members, providers, and insurance companies
Maintaining productivity and accuracy standards in a high-volume environment
Working independently while collaborating with pharmacists and fellow technicians
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have
Active California Pharmacy Technician license
Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
Strong data entry experience in a pharmacy setting
Solid understanding of prescription math, including days' supply calculations
Experience handling insurance claims and payments
High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
