    Job Overview:
    AIMS is seeking skilled Inpatient-Pharmacy Technicians to join our team and provide high-quality pharmacy services at Brooke Army Medical Center - BAMC at Fort Sam Houston, TX. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in inpatient, outpatient, and oncology pharmacy settings, ensuring adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
    Schedule:

    • Rotational Shifts as per department needs
    Qualifications:

    • Minimum one (1) year of experience within the last five (2) years as an inpatient, outpatient, or oncology pharmacy technician.
    • Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a similar program, including military training programs.
    • Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT), or CHPhT.
    • Current active certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American red Cross only
    Responsibilities

    Pharmacy Technician Duties:

    • Prepare sterile products and perform pharmaceutical calculations for various preparations.
    • Adhere strictly to sterile procedures and maintain equipment.
    • Prepare and fill physician orders for IV solutions, parenteral, and inpatient unit dose orders.
    • Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure sterility of IV products.
    • Participate in quality assurance data collection and review.
    Note: The pay rate includes Health and Welfare benefits.
    Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
