Job Summary and Qualifications The pharmacy technician II performs technical duties under direct supervision of attending pharmacist, involving compounding and dispensing of medications and maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. Procures and distributes medications orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Accurately prepackages medications following departmental procedures. Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule. Controlled substances are accurately dispensed with proper documentation. Counting discrepancies and suspected diversion is immediately brought to the attention of a pharmacist. HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
