Job Summary and Qualifications The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for accurately performing all advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. In addition, they may be responsible for performing duties with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and other specialized duties as assigned by the pharmacy management team. In this role you will:Demonstrate relevant theoretical knowledge.Apply known solutions to a variety of predictable problems.Apply and performs processes that require a range of well-developed skills where some discretion and judgment is required.Interpret available information using discretion and judgment.Take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning.Maintain medication inventory, storage, and security as per regulatory requirements throughout the organization.Accurately prepares and maintains required documentation logs, work records, and safety checks.Interact in person and by phone with hospital personnel.Perform basic billing functions.Accurately performs required calculations.Accurately and safely compounds and labels medications and parenteral admixtures.Accurately packages and prepares medications for dispensing as assigned.Accurately transports medications and other pharmacy supplies in a timely manner to appropriate areas.
