Pharmacy Technician I - Cancer Care

Join our growing Cancer Care team! We currently have a full time position at our Olathe campus. This is for a day shift opportunity with limited weekend coverage.
Pharmacy technicians will perform sterile compounding in state-of-the-art clean rooms using training that we provide to ensure medications are safe and accurate. Most of a Pharmacy Technician's day in the Cancer Center will be spent performing sterile compounding of cancer medications in our clean rooms. In addition, Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for daily cleaning of the sterile compounding areas, stocking supplies, calibrating equipment, scanning orders into the electronic medical record (EPIC) to ensure accuracy, placing and receiving drug orders and stocking automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell). Pharmacy technicians use critical thinking and problem solving to prepare complex chemotherapy and other medications.
