We are adding to our Pharmacy Technician team to ensure that our patients receive the care they need around the clock. Can you help us?

Heres what youll do:

• Prepare, store and maintain medication inventory and use that inventory to fill patient specific orders.
• Monitor and manage automated dispensing cabinets, ensuring timely and accurate refill of medications.
• Accurately and efficiently completes medication histories.
• Prepares IV admixtures, hazardous and non-hazardous, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist the Pharmacist with monitoring and quality assurance reports.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to maintain accurate inventory and prevent shortages.

These roles will require you to be on your feet extensively as well as some occasional lifting of up to 30lbs.

How can you become a PHARMACY TECHNICIAN at SUNY Upstate? Its easy!

Candidates must fulfill one of the following to meet minimum qualifications:

• NYS pharmacy technician license and National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification plus 6 months of pharmacy technician experience
• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
• Successful completion of a military or other accredited pharmacy technician training program
• NYS licensed/registered LPN
• Associates Degree (or higher level degree)

Candidates who do not have their National Pharmacy Technician Certification and/or NYS Pharmacy technician license will be required to receive the National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 18 months of hire and NYS pharmacy technician license within 6 months of national certification and will be placed on a temporary appointment until both are received.

Base pay rate of $45,500 per year, plus considerable shift incentives and benefits.
