Description
TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Hilo, HI. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
- Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
- Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
- Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
- Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
- Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
- Hawaii Pharmacy technician registraion required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, required.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Shift requirements:Available to work closing shift Mon-Fri 10:30-7pm or 11am to 7:30pm and weekends Sat/Sun 9am -5pm HST
