Job Duties and Preferred Qualifications:
Coordinates with clinical staff
Assists in maintaining appropriate levels of pharmaceutical supplies.
Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrate ability to perform all pharmacy technician duties in accordance with all applicable law and regulations.
Maintains accurate and up to date records.
Manages resources efficiently.
Prepares for and participates in inspections.
Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) in good standing.
Advanced Pharmacy Technician certification or specialized inventory management experience.
Experience in retail, hospital, emergency department, EMS, military, or public safety pharmacy operations.
Experience managing controlled substances and medication inventory systems.
Knowledge of prehospital emergency medical services operations.
1. Documented Experience Performing Medication Inventory Maintenance Tasks (e.g., monitoring expirations, rotating stock, handling recalls, or conducting audits)
2. Clear Evidence of Collaboration with Pharmacists, Clinical Staff, or Cross‑Functional Operational Teams

Minimum Requirements:
MINIMUMS: High school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must have and maintain a current Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration in good standing. Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
