Requirements for Compound Pharmacy Technician:
*This is an in-person role. Candidates must reside in the greater Austin area.*
Must have active registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Technician or Trainee (required)
Excellent attention to detail
Efficient data entry skills
Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology
At least six months pharmacy technician experience preferred
Flexible schedule, available to work variable shifts including Saturdays
Able to lift up to 25+lbs
Able to stand for 8 hours
Compensation and Benefits for Compound Pharmacy Technician:
$17.00–$22.00/hour (based on certification level and relevant experience)

Responsibilities for Compound Pharmacy Technician:
Compound medications per SOP and regulatory compliance standards
Receive written and electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate
Enter and maintain prescription data using pharmacy software system
Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
Contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information and initiate refill requests
Resolution of prescription insurance claims
Assist the pharmacist with packaging medications and affixing proper labels
Maintain the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed
