About the Position
This is a Time-Limited Position. A High-level pharmacy position primarily responsible for ensuring MSDH Pharmacy standards and compliance in an ever-changing pharmacy practice. Primary liaison with the MSDH Ryan White Program; coordinate with, develop and implement policy and processes, and report compliance processes in line with federal and state Ryan White and AIDS Drugs Assistance Program (ADAP) requirements and metrics; participate in quarterly Quality RW Program Clinical Quality Management Plan meetings - respond to needs of the CQM. Navigate and complete all Pharmacy Benefits Manager requirements review PBM documents, applications, audits, etc; review MSDH Pharmacy third-party billing; ensure compliance with CMS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse policies; produce financial reports as part of MSDH Pharmacy sustainability efforts. Development and ensure overall compliance with MSDH Pharmacy SOPs; pharmacy standard operating procedures specifically related to prescription medication; development of pharmacy prescription medication clinical workflows/SOPs for dispensing of medications compliant with MSDH program policies and procedures; tracking and monitoring of all MSDH Pharmacy processes for continuous quality improvement and specialty requirements. Hire, manage, supervise a minimum of 4 pharmacists and one technician. Prepare employee performance review assessment documents, train and assess employees related to their work duties, provide mentorship, and when necessary, progressive discipline. Co-author MSDH Pharmacy Policy and Procedures Manual. Prepare an annual workplan and organize all activities within the Standards and Compliance Division Review and update MSDH Pharmacy website information. Be co-signature for MSDH Pharmacy purchases; be able to enter information into OpenGov.
What youll need to be Successful
Leadership and critical thinking skills; management and supervisory skills; knowledge of MSDH administrative processes; ability to work well with individuals and teams; will be responsible for supervision of several staff and must ensure smooth, efficient operations of the MSDH Pharmacy. Be knowledgeable of federal regulation and adapting MSDH Pharmacy processes form compliance (Medicare Transaction Facilitator, Beacon Data Validation of rebate submission portal, Drug Supply Chain Security Act, etc.). Be knowledgeable on MSDH Pharmacy and MSDH internal controls; ensure employee time and attendance; approve employee leave requests and time and attendance reports.
