GENERAL SUMMARY:

Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm may require extra hours outside of those listed depending on department needs.

Location: Warren

Supervises the daily activities of the pharmacy staff. May perform the duties of a pharmacist.

PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Schedules and assigns daily work assignments for pharmacy staff.

  • Trains, coaches, and evaluates associates on performance expectations, and applies progressive discipline when appropriate. Participates in hiring and termination procedures within span of control.

  • Acts as liaison between department and other hospital departments, physicians and external customers in matters relating to pharmacy operations.

  • Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure that procedures and policies comply with organizational, federal, state and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy require.
  • Pharmacist license credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Hospital experience required, leadership experience preferred.
  • USP Sterile Compounding Board Certification preferred or obtained within a year of hire.
