    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Retail Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a high-volume outpatient pharmacy. This role plays a key leadership function, ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient service. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with hands-on retail pharmacy experience who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    This position works closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and leadership to support safe medication dispensing, staff development, and continuous operational improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise day-to-day operations of the retail/outpatient pharmacy

    • Lead, schedule, and support pharmacy technicians and support staff

    • Ensure accurate, safe, and timely prescription processing

    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational pharmacy regulations

    • Oversee inventory control, medication ordering, and storage practices

    • Monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements

    • Address patient questions or concerns and ensure high customer service standards

    • Assist with onboarding, training, and performance management of pharmacy staff

    • Support audits, quality assurance initiatives, and reporting requirements

    • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to support patient care continuity

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Pharmacy Technician experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred

    • Active Pharmacy Technician license or registration (state-specific, if applicable)

    • Strong knowledge of retail/outpatient pharmacy operations

    • Experience with pharmacy management systems and workflow optimization

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous supervisory or lead technician experience

    • Experience in outpatient, community, or hospital-based retail pharmacy

    • Familiarity with inventory systems and regulatory compliance standards
