    Description

    Pharmacy/Retail Supervisor:

    • Prefers local candidates to the area, as the position may convert to full-time.
    • No disciplinary issues.
    • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
    • PharmD preferred.
    • 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience, including supervisory experience over pharmacy technicians.
    • Hospital experience required.
    • BLS certification required.
    • Arizona pharmacy license preferred.

    Essential Functions:

    • Directs, manages, and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure the highest quality of service delivery while maintaining compliance with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
    • Develops operational and financial outcome measures, including tracking and monitoring systems, and integrates them into organization-wide Quality Improvement initiatives.
    • Directs, implements, and evaluates departmental, functional, and service-related policies and procedures.
    • Proactively assesses program, service, and functional effectiveness, while driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
    • Develops and supervises staff by providing timely feedback and utilizing appropriate HR policies and tools to support professional growth and performance standards.
    • Plans, directs, implements, and evaluates computer-based information and dispensing systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
    • Oversees purchasing and inventory management functions to maintain cost-effective inventory levels while ensuring timely availability of pharmaceuticals and related products.
    • Facilitates staff professional growth by identifying learning needs, barriers, and coordinating development opportunities.
    • Prepares monthly operational/progress reports, identifying areas for improvement and recommendations.
    • Participates in departmental orientation, on-the-job training, and quality assurance initiatives.
    • Participates in hospital and departmental educational programs to maintain current skills and competencies.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of professional pharmacy experience, including 2 years of management experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred, including 1-year residency.
    • Current and valid state Pharmacy license required.
    • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

    Additional Requirement:

    • Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
