Job Summary
Summary Responsible for ensuring that all medications and supplies used or dispensed by the pharmacy are properly purchased, stocked, and stored.Does this position require Patient Care? NoEssential Functions- Manage Pharmacy Purchasing activities, including workflow monitoring, Purchase Orders, order acknowledgments, order expediting, phone orders, and order processing, in a timely and accurate manner. -Utilize the prime vendor’s ordering system and consistently prepare orders through their web portal to secure the best possible pricing. -Analyzes the drug recall process and communicates the recall to the Supply Chain Manager. -Place orders, close purchase orders, open POS when shipments are delayed or received impartially; monitor, turn, and adjust par levels to maximize freshness while minimizing out-of-stocks. -Recognizes, communicates, and escalates supply chain and inventory management, critical path, and/or timeline concerns in a timely manner. -Manage the patient-specific ordering and tracking process for ultra-high-cost pharmaceuticals. -Coordinates transportation, shopping, and warehousing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. -Coordinate and return products to stock, receipt, and delivery, as applicable. -Ensure compliance with all ordering and receiving regulations.Qualifications
