    Description

    **Schedule: Shift: 5 days a week, 8 hour days, 32-40 hpw, every other weekend, rotating shifts between 6am and 10pm.
    No on-call.
    No RTO restrictions.
    First-time travelers accepted.

    Arizona licensed pharmacist highly preferred.


    Certs: Required IV admixture and sterile compounding certificates (ACPE accredited). BLS

    Experience: Must have acute care inpatient experience (which could have been gained during student rotations).

    Electronic Documentation: Meditech experience preferred.

    Ratio: Hospital census is 130-150 patients/day
    Dress code: Business casual.
    Orientation: Every Monday

    Key Responsibilities:
    -Supervises, coordinates, and participates in pharmaceutical services related to the preparation and dispensing of drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies; ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and maintenance of all required records.
    -Plan and schedule work for the shift group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
    -Compile charges for prescriptions filled; maintain accountability and cost records on drugs and pharmaceutical supplies prepared and dispensed.
    -Maintain interface with medical staff to provide information pertaining to new pharmaceutical supplies, formulary, and drug usage and compatibility and new regulations regarding drug controls.
    -Compound, package and label ointments, solutions and bulk pharmaceutical supplies according to standard formulas; mix prescribed drugs with intravenous solutions as required.
    -Maintain and support the hospital formulary and inventory, reorder and stock drugs and supplies as required.
