Inpatient Pharmacy Operations Manager

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead daily inpatient pharmacy operations including medication distribution, sterile compounding, controlled substances, ADCs, and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with USP <797>/<800>, Joint Commission, and state/federal regulations
  • Oversee Epic Willow inpatient workflows, reporting, medication routing, and clinical decision support tools
  • Support clinical pharmacy services and medication safety initiatives across inpatient care areas
  • Lead formulary management, medication utilization reviews, and pharmacy quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage pharmacists and pharmacy technicians including hiring, scheduling, onboarding, and performance management
  • Support staff education, competency development, and interdisciplinary training
  • Collaborate with nursing, providers, IT, and hospital leadership to improve medication-use processes
  • Provide operational and clinical support during staffing shortages or high-volume periods

What they’re looking for:

  • PharmD required
  • Active Colorado pharmacist license required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Leadership experience within inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical services
  • Experience managing pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Epic Willow Inpatient experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, medication safety, and inpatient workflows
  • BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA required
