Title: Pharmacy Clerk
Work schedule: M-F 1: 30PM-10PM, with possible change to Sun-Thurs
Candidate to be prepared for schedule change after 4 weeks depending on business needs and OSW would shift to our Sunday-Thursday shift. Sundays are 8: 30AM-5: 00PM and the rest of the week remains at 1: 30PM-10PM
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.50/hr on W2

Entry Level. Warehouse experience, packaging and sorting are desirable but not required.
Fast pace and high volume experience is ideal.

Job Description:
  • The Pharmacy Clerk in the Central Fill Pharmacy packages prescriptions and prepares them for shipping.
  • The role entails several duties which include but not limited to;packaging and shipping prescriptions, performing process audits, restocking and cleaning.
  • A Central Fill is production based which requires a pharmacy clerk to maintain consistent and continuous work flow to meet team goals and individual hourly production goals.
  • In addition has ideal candidate has the ability to work productively either independently or as a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.

  • Performs prescription packaging that entails handling HIPAA sensitive information and medication information. 40
  • Performs prescriptions sortation utilizing handheld scanners.
  • Completes the sortation process by scanning the prescription shipping label barcode and confirming the accurate location by scanning the location bin barcode. After confirmation, the prescription is placed in the accurate bin. 30
  • Performs audits for closed bins: This entails performing a physical count of the closed tote, and then comparing the physical count to the tote manifest systematic count. If the count does not match communication to management is required to rectify the discrepancy. 10
  • Reading and analyzing application screens, and pops up windows to ensure that all HIPAA sensitive information is being followed by standard operating procedures. 7
  • Performs chain of custody audit (COC): Records total bins created in the system, by location, for a production day. Ensure that the total tote system count equals the physical count. Responsible for having the pickup driver sign for the correct tote count. 5

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Education/Training
  • High School Degree or equivalent experience

Business Experience
  • One year warehouse, retail or customer service setting
  • Basic computer skills
  • Interaction in a team environment where effective communication is needed to be successful

Specialized Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws
