Job Title: Pharmacy Warehouse Clerk - 2nd Shift

Job Description

This role supports a high-volume pharmacy warehouse by preparing, packing, and shipping prescription orders and related materials during the 2nd shift. The Pharmacy Warehouse Clerk ensures accurate inventory management, proper storage and refrigeration of prescription drugs and supplies, and timely processing of outgoing orders. The position is based in Charlotte, NC and is part of a team of approximately 20 warehouse workers focused on efficient and compliant pharmacy fulfillment operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work the 2nd shift schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. EST, with flexibility for variable warehouse duties and mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Handle a variety of pharmacy warehouse tasks, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable products.
  • Monitor, adjust, and calibrate pharmacy equipment as needed to support accurate dispensing and packaging processes.
  • Fill dispensing units and support the fulfillment of prescription orders in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform daily box preparation work to ensure packaging materials and containers are ready for outgoing orders.
  • Create, correct, and update shipping labels to ensure accurate routing and delivery information.
  • Transport prepared packages to shipping, mail, and courier areas as needed to meet dispatch schedules.
  • Monitor prescription drug inventory within the pharmacy computer system to support accurate stock levels and order fulfillment.
  • Receive incoming inventory and verify accurate product receipt against documentation.
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and support investigations into count or receipt issues.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions for prescription drug inventory, including organization and compliance with handling guidelines.
  • Perform cycle counting activities to validate inventory accuracy and support ongoing stock management.
  • Complete order processing tasks, including data entry, verification, and preparation of items for packing and shipping.
  • Process, pack, and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring drug-related supplies and patient educational materials are included as required.
  • Support general warehouse and pharmacy operations as needed to maintain production flow and meet performance targets.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a packing and/or production environment, preferably within a warehouse or fulfillment setting.
  • Experience in production and/or packing activities, with the ability to follow standardized procedures and meet productivity goals.
  • Ability to perform packaging, shipping, and receiving tasks, including preparing boxes and handling shipping labels.
  • Basic data entry skills to update inventory and order information in pharmacy or warehouse systems.
  • Understanding of pharmacy or healthcare-related environments, such as retail pharmacy, long-term care, or medical fulfillment, is strongly beneficial.
  • Ability to support inventory management, including order entry, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Capability to assist with filling prescriptions or pharmacy orders under established guidelines and supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescription drugs, supplies, and patient materials.
  • Reliability and strong attendance to support a production-focused operation on a consistent 2nd shift schedule.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with focus and efficiency in a high-volume environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Pharmacy experience, including exposure to pharmacy support or fulfillment operations, is a plus.
  • Warehouse experience, particularly in healthcare or medical supply settings, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with retail pharmacy, long-term care pharmacy, or medical environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with order entry, inventory management, and filling prescriptions or pharmacy orders enhances success in the role.
  • A pharmacy technician license is noted as relevant experience but is not required for this position.
  • No professional license is required to be considered for this role.
  • Strong production focus, with the ability to meet performance and quality targets.
  • Demonstrated strong attendance record and reliability in previous roles.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime and occasional weekend hours when operational needs require.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
