Pride Health is hiring a Pharmacy Care Technician to support our client’s medical facility in San Antonio, TX (78257). This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organisation!
Specific Duties:
- Process prescription orders, refill requests, and medication-related inquiries accurately and efficiently.
- Assist pharmacists with prescription preparation, medication dispensing, and order processing.
- Verify patient demographics, medication information, insurance coverage, and prescription details.
- Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies to resolve prescription-related issues.
- Assist with prior authorizations, insurance claims, coverage questions, and medication benefit verification.
- Coordinate prescription transfers, refills, medication orders, and deliveries to support timely patient care.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in Pharmacy Technician
- Certification: National certification required
- License: Active Texas (TX) license required
Preferred Qualification
- Ability to stay focused with little oversight
- Tied to a phone for 7 ½ hours a day
- Strong customer service/communication skills
- Strong computer skills as they will be utilizing multiple computer programs to complete their job duties
- Must possess both Texas and National tech licenses

- Office Hours: 9 am-6 pm
- Pay Range: $15-19/hr. on W2
