    Pharmacy Technician – Contract to Hire

    Job Details

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Shift: Day Shift (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
    • Schedule: Weekdays and every other weekend.
    • Location: Cranberry Township, PA
    • Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr

    Job Summary

    As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will be responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. You will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to ensure all drug orders are filled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety and government regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Order Fulfillment: Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.
    • Inventory Management: Pull/pick medications from shelving and prepack racks; assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods.
    • Quality Control: Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy; immediately alert the pharmacist of any scanning issues or product discrepancies.
    • Processing Returns: Assist in processing returned medications and recycling or disposing of them according to standard operating procedures.
    • Maintenance: Maintain designated workstations and replenish stock supplies as needed.
    • Compliance: Follow all departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, dress code, and government regulations, including HIPAA.
    • Collaboration: Perform manual packaging of materials and other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Skills: Ability to work at a moderate speed while maintaining accuracy.
    • Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
    • Licensing: No pharmacy technician license is required at this time.
    • Strength: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
