    The Rehabilitation and Programs Division ensures the physical and mental well-being of inmates, delivers educational and vocational opportunities within prisons, and oversees community facilities dedicated to successfully reintegrating offenders into Montana communities.     The Infirmary Unit provides inpatient care with 24-hour nursing coverage in a 13-bed unit and provides medical management for 1400+ inmates. The Pharmacy Assistant supports the medication delivery system at the Montana State Prison to ensure medications are ordered, processed and delivered in a timely manner.

    • Maintains patients' records, assists in processing medication orders and tracks delivery of medications from the mail-order pharmacy vendor.

    • Ensure that inmates are transferred to various locations in the system and those discharged from the system have an adequate supply of medication.

    • Reports to the Director of Nursing or designated nursing supervisor and provides administrative support function to same.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma/GED

    • Two years' experience in a pharmacy or medical office setting.

    • Prefer a certification as a registered Pharmacy Technician but not required.
