    About the Role

    At Valley Vital Care, the pharmacist is the clinical authority in the patient journey, moving therapy from a verified order to a safely compounded, clinically appropriate dose. As a Pharmacist I, you'll practice clinical pharmacy under the guidance of the site Pharmacist in Charge, verifying orders, compounding to standard, and serving as a clinical resource to the nurses, prescribers, and patients who depend on getting therapy right.

    What You'll Do

    • Verify medication orders, compounds, and clinical appropriateness before dispensing.
    • Perform and verify sterile compounding to USP <797> and <800> standards.
    • Complete clinical review including dosing, interactions, labs, allergies, and monitoring.
    • Serve as a clinical resource to nursing, prescribers, referral sources, and patients.
    • Document clinical interventions and therapy notes in CareTend.
    • Supervise technician order entry, preparation, and inventory work.
    • Maintain controlled-substance, storage, and recordkeeping compliance.
    • Capture and report medication-safety events per the enterprise program.

    What You'll Bring

    • PharmD or BS Pharmacy, with an active pharmacist license in good standing.
    • 0 to 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice.
    • Sterile compounding training, with familiarity with USP <797> and <800> standards.
    • Sound clinical judgment, with comfort working under the guidance of the Pharmacist in Charge on non-routine calls.
    • Clear communication and clean coordination with nursing, intake, and prescribers.
    • Infusion or specialty pharmacy exposure preferred.
