Description

A services organization is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their staff in a Remote role, supporting the clinical review of Drug Utilization Review (DUR) for pharmacy customers.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Nights
  • Hours: 7pm to 5am or 10pm to 8am (PST hours)
  • Setting: Remote / Work From Home
  • Locations: Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Florida, Indiana, New Hampshire, New York, Texas, or Washington
  • Notes: Arizona-based candidates are strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive customer profiles, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications (including over-the-counter and home
  • remedies)
  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration
  • Utilize, monitor, and troubleshoot automated dispensing and fulfillment systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription orders
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Technicians and Engineering teams to resolve automation issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Accurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations and state-specific laws
  • Maintain thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance transactions, including inventory management, reconciliation, and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or Pharm.D. degree
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in the state of employment (additional licenses may be required)
  • Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems
  • Exemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work overnight hours and support Pacific Time (PST) operations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of Pharmacy laws and Federal/State regulations
  • Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining quality customer service
