Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaii's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaii's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapiolani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Outpatient Pharmacy department at Hawai'i Pacific Health is committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care and service. We are responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and supplies, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure our patients remain healthy by providing convenient access to safe and effective medication and offering expert advice. Our department partners with providers and other health care personnel in the hospitals and clinics to create a healthier Hawai'i.
As the Pharmacist, you will compound and dispense medications and supplies, administer immunizations, and supervise the pharmacy staff while on duty. You will be responsible for management, oversight, and operation of all activities of the Outpatient Pharmacy department, including patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, loss prevention, financial profitability, and workflow management while on duty. Also, you will be responsible for providing information concerning medications to other health professionals, and monitors the safe distribution of medications to the patient.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawaii Pharmacist License. Must obtain Immunization Certification through an accredited organization recognized by the Hawai'i Board of Pharmacy within three (3) months of hire. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Not on DEA excluded parties list.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). One (1) year of outpatient pharmacy experience.
