    Staff Pharmacist \u2013 Part Time \u2013 McKeen Pharmacy at Family Health Services\n \nVytlOne (formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services) is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Part-Time Staff Pharmacist to work at McKeen Pharmacy in Sandusky, OH, a community healthcare center based, in-house pharmacy. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a pharmacist with a retail pharmacy background and an active OH pharmacist license. APhA or ASHP Immunizations Certified is a plus. They continually strive to improve the health of our community by providing a "healthcare home" to address the physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being of our patients.\n \nResponsibilities\n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):\n \nInterpret and fill drug orders.\n \nProvide patient information and counseling.\n \nIn the absence of store Pharmacist-In-Charge/Pharmacy Manager, may be required to act as the alternate store leader, responsible for managing ongoing functions of the pharmacy.\n \nContact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.\n \nDispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).\n \nMonitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.\n \nMaintain patients' medication records.\n \nMaintain inventory and records of controlled drugs and other drugs as required by law.\n \nSupervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.\n \nProvide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.\n \nParticipate in inventory control programs such as ordering, inventorying and monitoring correct pricing and quantities.\n \nAttend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.\n \nParticipate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.\n \nParticipate in pharmacy orientation programs, pharmacy staff meetings and in-service educational programs.\n \nParticipate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.\n \nExemplify excellence in customer communications and service.\n \nWork cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.\n \nParticipate in the Performance Improvement Program.\n \nMaintains regular attendance in accordance with established policies.\n \nPromptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.\n \nComply with Maxor's Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor's Compliance Program.\n \nRemain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.\n \nComplete required training and ensure the departmental staff training is completed as required.\n \nMust be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.\n \nEnsure staff is informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner.\n \nMay assist management with hiring and training competent staff.\n \nOn a biweekly basis, verify departmental timesheets for departmental employees ensuring the timesheets are accurate based on the work-schedule and necessary corrections are done prior to Payroll submission.\n \nDevelop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team.\n \nMay assist with conducting initial and annual performance evaluations.\n \nPromote teamwork; discipline staff when warranted.\n \nQualifications\n \nEducation:\n \nBachelor's degree, or Pharm. D., from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the Ohio state board of pharmacy\n \nOne-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred.\n \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n \nKnowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.\n \nAbility to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.\n \nKnowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.\n \nAbility to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.\n \nAbility to supervise and train assigned staff.\n \nKnowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements (if applicable).\n \nSkill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.\n \nAbility to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager\n \nThe innovative spirit at VytlOne will transform the way you think about pharmacy & healthcare services.
