A Pharmacy Manager is needed for a quite (not busy) small independent pharmacy located in Woodbridge, CT. The Pharmacy manager will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality patient care, and efficient workflow. Key duties include managing staff (hiring, training, scheduling), controlling inventory, resolving customer issues, and optimizing profitability.

Hours needed:
Monday, Wednesday to Friday, 9:00am to 7:00pm

NO WEEKENDS OR FEDERAL HOLIDAYS


  • Role Summary: The Pharmacy Manager leads the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional customer service, manages inventory levels to prevent shortages, and ensures all medication dispensing complies with state and federal regulations.

  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist and/or Doctorate of Pharmacy
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including prescription processing, workflow efficiency, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, and cashiers).
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring for, and disposing of, expired medications.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with DEA regulations for controlled substances and state board of pharmacy requirements.
  • Patient Care: Provide consultation to patients on medication safety, dosage, and side effects.
