Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Lubbock, TX – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $69.98/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 7 days on / 7 days off | Overnight schedule
- 9:00 PM – 8:00 AM with a 1-hour lunch

The Long-Term Care Pharmacist supports safe and accurate medication dispensing while providing patient-centered counseling and ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and procedures. This role partners closely with healthcare providers and helps oversee pharmacy operations to ensure timely, high-quality service and documentation.
- This position is a contract-to-hire assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Job Responsibilities
Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately
- Monitor medication compliance/utilization and identify potential medication-related concerns
- Ensure medication handling and dispensing remain compliant with applicable regulations
- Provide patient consultation on medication use, dosing, storage, side effects, and interactions
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient medication needs - Compound medications as needed and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures
- Support oversight/supervision of pharmacy staff (technicians, clerks, etc.)
- Help maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies
Qualifications
Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Requirements:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (verifiable)
- Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice (in good standing)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
- Schedule: Ability to work a 7 on / 7 off rotation on an overnight schedule
