    Special Qualifications

    Required

    • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy (Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy accepted if licensed prior to 2003)
    • Active South Carolina Pharmacist License in good standing
    • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
    • Immunization Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
    • Current CPR/BLS Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)

    Preferred

    • Completion of PGY-1 Community or Ambulatory Care Residency
    • Additional certifications such as:
    • BCACP - Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist
    • BCPS - Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
    • CDE/CDCES - Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist

    Training or certification in:

    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
    • Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
    • Point-of-care testing
    • Experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory or similar pharmacy systems

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a retail, outpatient, or ambulatory care pharmacy setting
    • Demonstrated experience performing core pharmacist duties, including dispensing, counseling, immunizations, and resolving medication access issues
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment with responsibility for accuracy and safety
    • Experience collaborating with pharmacy technicians, support staff, and clinical colleagues to meet patient needs
    • Familiarity with pharmacy regulatory requirements, controlled substance standards, and Board of Pharmacy expectations

    Preferred Experience

    • Leadership or supervisory experience such as acting as a lead pharmacist, PIC, or shift coordinator
    • Experience managing or contributing to staff scheduling, workflow coordination, or daily operational decisions
    • Experience mentoring, coaching, or training pharmacy technicians or pharmacists
    • Experience with pharmacy inventory management, purchasing, waste reduction, or financial/operational performance metrics
    • Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives, productivity improvement, or process redesign
    • Prior experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory or other enterprise pharmacy systems
    • Experience delivering enhanced clinical services such as immunizations, MTM, point-of-care testing, or specialty medication support
