    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy operations while providing occasional support in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys a balance of leadership, clinical oversight, and hands-on pharmacy work.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily operations of the LTC pharmacy, including staffing, workflow, and quality assurance
    • Verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
    • Conduct and supervise medication regimen reviews to support optimal patient outcomes
    • Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
    • Collaborate with nurses, prescribers, and facility staff to resolve medication-related issues
    • Provide support in the retail pharmacy as needed (verification, counseling, immunizations)
    • Maintain accurate documentation, billing processes, and audit readiness
    • Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls within the department


    Qualifications

    • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
    • Active, unrestricted New York Pharmacist license
    • Required: Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience
    • Preferred: Prior leadership or management experience
    • Retail or community pharmacy experience
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with LTC systems, consultant reporting, and regulatory standards


    Schedule & Work Environment

    • Full-time position
    • Schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends
    • Primarily LTC-focused with periodic retail pharmacy coverage
    • Collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on accuracy and patient care
