    Position Specific Description

    Under limited guidance, position has responsibility for preparing estimates, refining scope, preparing bid documents, ordering materials and services for all work at FPL's Fossil Generation sites. Plans and develop projects with a high level of efficiency by utilizing appropriate technology. Acts as planning liaison to individuals within and outside their organization with responsibility to act independently regarding matters pertaining to individuals field of expertise. Acts in a lead role for Planning on overhaul work with responsibility for coordinating all mechanical, civil, electrical, and I&C work.

    • Performs jobsite walk-downs and scope validation.
    • Supporting procurement of materials and services
    • Establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates in accordance with the Major Maintenance Process.
    • Acts in a lead role in the Planning Effort for Outage work to be performed.
    • Technical Procedure writing proficiency.
    • Good working understanding of Maximo, Digital Worker and Power Bi applications

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in related field and/or 5 years relevant power plant experience
    • 2 Years in a Planning role
    • Six Sigma Yellow Belt

    Job Overview

    Employees in this job are responsible for project planning of major and minor equipment maintenance activities related to electrical power generation plants. Activities may include job identification, scope validation, cost and schedule estimating, and development of job specific work instructions.

    • Performs administration of procurement contracts and documentation in support of outage execution
    • Focuses on streamlining activities through the use of standardized processes and procedures, problem solving, and team engagement
