    Job Summary
    We are a busy Animal Hospital with many of our clients asking for grooming services. We have heard their cries and so we are searching an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at Hudspeth Animal Hospital. Hudspeth animal hospital is now adding a pet salon and Pet Hotel. We are looking to partner with an experienced pet stylist. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you! Partnership Options (candidate will choose)1. Commission based only 2. Base salary and Commission 3. Lease our Grooming area 
    Responsibilities 
    • Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
    • Bathe dogs and dry coat
    • Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
    • Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
    • Trim nails 
    • Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
    • Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
    • Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
    • Add with cleaning and walking dogs
    • Report medical conditions to our medical team
    Qualifications
    • Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
    • Comfortable working with anxious animals
    • Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
    • Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
    • Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
    • Strong attention to detail
