Starting Rate: $35,322.60- $47,363.77 Annually

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones and emails, and responding to HR inquiries.
  • Support recruitment and on-boarding by posting job announcements, preparing new-hire materials, coordinating paperwork and security requests, interview scheduling, and I-9 compliance.
  • Assist with Fire and Police testing processes, including entry-level and promotional examinations, logistics, and candidate communications.
  • Maintain HR databases, employee records, tracking systems, and benefit reports.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to HR staff, including preparing correspondence and forms, managing mail, ordering office supplies, and ensuring documents are accurate and professional.

Required Qualifications:

Requires knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of post-secondary education, along with two years of progressively responsible office experience. Previous experience in Human Resources is strongly preferred.

Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.

To be eligible to apply, current City employees must have completed their probationary period and attained certified status in their current position.
