The client is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Personal Lines Account Manager to manage a portfolio of personal insurance clients.
This position is responsible for policy servicing, renewals, coverage reviews, remarketing, and day-to-day client support.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Massachusetts personal lines insurance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of personal lines clients.
Service homeowners, automobile, dwelling fire, umbrella, flood, recreational vehicle, and other personal insurance policies.
Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, certificates, binders, and other client requests.
Review renewals for coverage accuracy, pricing changes, discounts, and potential coverage gaps.
Remarket accounts when appropriate and prepare clear coverage and premium comparisons.
Educate clients about coverage options, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and available enhancements.
Respond promptly and professionally to client questions by phone, email, and in person.
Work with carrier underwriters to resolve eligibility, underwriting, billing, and policy-related issues.
Document client communications and maintain accurate account records in the agency management system.
Identify opportunities for account rounding, cross-selling, and referrals while keeping the client’s needs first.
Assist clients with the claims-reporting process and provide appropriate follow-up without acting as a claims adjuster.
Maintain compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and applicable insurance regulations.
Qualifications
At least [2–3] years of personal lines insurance experience preferred.
Active Massachusetts Property and Casualty Producer license, or the ability to obtain one within one year.
Working knowledge of Massachusetts personal automobile and homeowners insurance.
Experience with an agency management system such as Applied Epic preferred.
Strong customer service, written communication, and telephone skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other standard business applications.
Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, or CPIA are a plus.
