Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Draft all pleadings without guidance within the litigation department including, but not limited to: complaints, discovery, motions etc. File all pleadings and other legal documents utilizing the appropriate case e-filing system.

Job Description/Expectations

1. Expected to answer and route calls appropriately
2. Strong ability to maintain and organize files
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Works well as part of a team 
5. Draft all pleadings without guidance within the litigation department including, but not limited to: complaints, discovery, motions etc.
6. Request medical records and bills as needed 
7. Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness
8. Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc.
9. Create and file legal documents and correspondence
10. Scan, print and upload legal documents into client database
11. Maintain contact lists
12. Adhere to deadlines and multi-task 
13. Expected to assist office staff as needed 
14. Provide administrative support to two or more lawyers
15. File all pleadings and other legal documents utilizing the appropriate case e-filing system
16. Expected to assist in the litigation department by requesting Open Record Requests, calendaring for attorneys, and drafting documents.
17. Expected to assist with other tasks as needed.
18. Expected to track case costs 
19. Expected to verify receipt of demand letters, and calendar attorney due dates accordingly
20. Expected to retrieve open records requests 

Requirements
Must have at least five (5) years of GA Personal Injury Experience
Mush have at least five (5) years of GA Personal Injury litigation experience
Computer literacy is a must
Proficiency in English is a must
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
Must have a high school diploma
Proficiency with e-filing is a must

Salary
$58,000 - $65,000 per year
