Contract Case Manager - Personal Injury

Location: Oakland, CA (100% In-Person)
Duration: 3-Month Contract Assignment
Pay Rate: $32.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager for a 3-month contract assignment in our Oakland office. This role is responsible for managing pre-litigation personal injury cases from intake through settlement. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to handle a high-volume caseload, and experience working directly with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

  • Open and manage third-party liability, uninsured motorist (UM), and underinsured motorist (UIM) claims
  • Request and obtain lien information from Medicare, Medi-Cal, VA, health insurance carriers, and subrogation departments
  • Request, organize, and review medical records and billing statements
  • Obtain police reports, collision reports, and other accident-related documentation
  • Review records and prepare settlement demand packages
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and treatment updates
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, lienholders, and medical providers
  • Track case deadlines and follow up on outstanding records, bills, and liens
  • Maintain accurate case files and case management system records
  • Support attorneys with case development and settlement preparation

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of plaintiff personal injury experience
  • Experience handling third-party, UM, and UIM claims
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Strong computer and case management software skills
  • High level of professionalism and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Spanish/English bilingual
  • Experience obtaining and managing medical records, billing, and lien resolution
