Salary: $175,000 - $350,000 per year
A bit about us:We are a Santa Ana, California firm that practices exclusively in personal injury law — motor vehicle and motorcycle collisions, catastrophic and traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, and dog bite claims. Our firm has recovered more than $197 million for clients to date, with recent results including a $4.1 million jury verdict in a slip-and-fall trial, a $5.3 million settlement in a DUI accident case, and a $2.57 million judgment as recently as November 2024. A small in-house litigation team currently handles that docket, supported by a five-person in-house case management staff that keeps every matter moving from intake through resolution rather than routing files out to referral counsel.
Why join us?Our current litigation attorney has carried a full trial docket to strong, consistent production for three years running — and growth has outpaced what one attorney can manage. This is a seat with real ownership: you'll run your own caseload from intake through trial with paralegal support, not shuffle files through a settlement mill. You'll have a direct line to our Managing Attorney position for the right candidate, room to first- or second-chair trials, and the latitude to build and supervise your own paralegal team rather than share support staff across a large associate pool.
Job DetailsAdmitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- Proven experience with mediations, depositions, and arbitration in personal injury matters; litigation and trial experience — particularly plaintiff-side, first or second chair — is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable handling full-cycle PI casework: case evaluation and pre-suit strategy, discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, trial preparation, and staying current on relevant legislation; strong working knowledge of state and federal court rules, deadlines, and procedures.
- Strong writing, verbal communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills, with sound judgment and critical thinking in complex or high-pressure situations.
- Able to manage a high-volume caseload independently, supervise a team of paralegals and support staff, and collaborate with fellow attorneys on case strategy; this is a full-time, in-office role.
- Salary: Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission, commensurate with experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
