At The Law Offices of Roderick C. White, we believe great attorneys do their best work when they're empowered, supported, and trusted to lead.
We're looking for a Personal Injury Associate Attorney who wants more than just another litigation job. We're seeking someone who is passionate about advocating for injured clients, enjoys solving complex legal challenges, and is ready to become an integral part of a growing, high-performing team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of your cases, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and develop your litigation skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. And if you've ever wanted to broaden your practice beyond PI, we want to hear from you: attorneys open to cross-training into
family law or criminal defense will find real room to grow here, not just a title change.
Why Join Our Firm?
We know talented attorneys have choices. That's why we've built an environment where you can focus on practicing law. Most firms hire you for one lane and keep you there. We're different. If a second practice area interests you, we'll invest in getting you there — through mentorship, case exposure, and a leadership team that wants to see you grow, not stay boxed in.
What You Can Expect
- Meaningful responsibility from day one
- A steady pipeline of quality personal injury cases
- Dedicated support from experienced intake specialists, case managers, and legal staff
- Modern technology and streamlined case management systems
- Leadership that is accessible, collaborative, and invested in your success
- The opportunity to expand into a second practice area — family law or criminal defense — for attorneys who want a broader, more versatile caseload
- Opportunities to expand your litigation experience and grow into leadership roles
- A team culture built on accountability, professionalism, and client advocacy
What You'll Do
As a Personal Injury Associate Attorney, you'll manage your own caseload while working alongside a team committed to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities include:
- Represent clients in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and related negligence claims.
- Manage cases from pre-litigation through litigation and resolution.
- Develop legal strategies that maximize client outcomes.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demands.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
- Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, hearings, and trials as needed.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the life of their cases.
- Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure efficient case progression and an exceptional client experience.
- For attorneys interested in expanding their practice, opportunities to take on family law or criminal defense matters as your caseload and interests develop.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is confident, motivated, and committed to achieving outstanding results for clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Texas Bar license and good standing
- 1–3 years of personal injury or civil litigation experience
- Excellent negotiation and litigation skills
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional organization and time management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Client-first mindset with a commitment to excellence
- Spanish fluency is highly preferred
- Interest in growing into a second practice area (family law or criminal defense) is a plus
