Summary
Staying HomeCare is seeking a patient and attentive caregiver to provide in-home care for an individual with swallowing difficulties and speech disabilities. The right candidate will focus on mealtime safety and patient communication.
Key Responsibilities

• Mealtime & Swallowing Safety: Prepare modified diets (pureed, soft) and thickened liquids. Ensure 90° upright seating, pacing, and monitoring for swallowing safety.
• Communication Support: Help with speech therapy exercises and communication tools (boards, devices, or simple gestures).
• General Care: Assist with daily hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience working with swallowing difficulties, stroke recovery, or speech conditions.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong understanding of meal thickeners and aspiration prevention.
• California Home Care Aide License
