Job Description

Provides classroom, behavioral, and personal care support to students in Autism Support, Emotional Support, and Multiple Disabilities programs across elementary and secondary school settings. The PCA provides direct support to students throughout the school day, assisting with classroom participation, behavioral needs, personal care, and daily activities while working closely with teachers and support staff. Candidates should have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, be available to work the full school day Monday through Friday and possess strong communication and documentation skills to support student progress and required reporting. This role requires providing both personal care and behavioral support to students in a school-based setting.

Job Responsibilities

Classroom Support

  • Assisting students with classroom activities and assignments.
  • Helping students stay engaged and participate in lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support as directed by the teacher.
  • Reinforcing academic instructions and classroom routines.

Behavioral Support

  • Supporting students with behavioral challenges and emotional regulation.
  • Implementing behavior plans developed by teachers or special education staff.
  • Redirecting students when behaviors interfere with learning.
  • Monitoring student behavior and documenting incidents or progress.

Qualifications

Any experience working with children or any form of care giving. 

High School Diplomia required
