Our customer is a local, construction related business who provides exceptional service to the Tampa Bay area. They are very busy and looking to add temporary Permitting Coordinator to their inspections & construction departments to help cover for parental leave. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for residential and commercial construction projects with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with inspectors, project managers, field staff, and governmental agencies to ensure permits are obtained and approved in a timely manner.
- Monitor permit status and maintain accurate records of permit submissions, approvals, revisions, and expirations.
- Schedule and coordinate required inspections throughout the construction process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for permitting-related inquiries from internal teams, customers, and government agencies.
- Review permit documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
- Ensure projects remain compliant with local building codes, zoning requirements, and permitting regulations.
- Maintain permitting logs, databases, and electronic filing systems to ensure accurate project tracking.
- Process and distribute approved permits, inspection reports, and related project documentation.
- Communicate inspection results and permit updates to project managers and construction teams.
- Assist with obtaining special approvals, licenses, and certificates required for project completion.
- Support the construction and inspections departments with administrative tasks, document management, and project coordination as needed.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and emails professionally and provide timely updates regarding permit and inspection status.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
