PERMIT COORDINATOR

This Permit Coordinator role in our Opa-Locka, FL. office supports day‑to‑day operations by managing permit workflows, coordinating with municipalities, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the approval process. This is an ideal position for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and keen attention to detail. This role offers a valuable opportunity to build expertise in permit acquisition while contributing to a collaborative, supportive team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Ensure all appropriate permits are identified
• Evaluate overlapping projects for consistency of applications
• Estimate and report permit duration
• Determine fiscal impact of permits
• Responsible for permit application delivery to all municipalities and pick up when ready
• Resolves issues from municipalities, architects, engineers and field staff
• Other duties as required

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, PDFs, Outlook,

• Strong data entry skills

• Previous skills working with closing permits

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• The physical activity required for this role includes:

• Sitting for extended periods in an office environment

• Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending and reaching

• Manual dexterity for computer use, files and office equipment

• Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
