DATES OF ASSIGNMENT: September 1, 2026 - March 1, 2027

COMPENSATION: For certified applicants the salary is $315.33/per day while holding a Bachelor's degree or $333.66/per day while holding a Master's degree per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website. For non-certified applicants the salary is $130/day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide high-quality instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans in core subject areas including: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and school administrators.
• Data collection, progress monitoring, report writing, parent engagement, work as grade level "team member" and other program responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate and timely student records.
• Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
• Assess student learning through multiple measurement strategies.
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
• Valid Massachusetts Initial or Professional Teaching License in Elementary Education (Grade 1-6).
• Massachusetts MTEL Communication & Literacy Skills and Elementary Education certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in elementary education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
