    Connected Health Care, a trusted healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join one of our healthcare partners in the Greencastle, IN area.

    Position Overview

    The Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist will perform a variety of laboratory testing and specimen processing procedures while ensuring results are accurate, timely, and compliant with established laboratory standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform clinical laboratory testing across areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, coagulation, and immunology
    • Collect, receive, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens according to established procedures
    • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation
    • Review and validate laboratory results for accuracy and completeness
    • Communicate critical and abnormal test results promptly and appropriately
    • Complete quality control testing and maintain required documentation
    • Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols
    • Maintain accurate patient records, test results, and other laboratory documentation
    • Investigate testing issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals
    • Ensure laboratory practices remain compliant with regulatory and accreditation standards
    • Monitor laboratory supplies, reagents, and inventory
    • Maintain a professional and patient-focused approach while working in a fast-paced clinical environment

    Education & Certification Requirements

    • MLT: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field
    • MT/MLS: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline
    • ASCP, AMT, or equivalent nationally recognized certification preferred
    • New graduates who meet certification eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply
    • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred, but qualified new graduates may be considered
    • Knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies, quality control, and safety procedures
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle laboratory information
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team
