Position: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health / Mental Health (Full-Time, Varied Shifts)

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $28.90 – $41.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $12,000
  • Shift Differentials: Additional pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts, enhancing earning potential
  • Work Schedule Options: Full-time positions available on day, evening, and night shifts, including 8 and 12-hour shifts with flexible schedules

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct nursing care in various clinical settings, including high-acuity populations, maintaining safety and therapeutic engagement
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, discharge procedures, and ongoing care needs
  • Monitor patient safety continuously, identifying and reporting potential risks to prevent adverse events
  • Supervise and coordinate activities among licensed and non-licensed staff, fostering a team-oriented environment
  • Document all patient interactions accurately, adhering to organizational policies and legal requirements
  • Promote a recovery-focused, therapeutic environment aligning with the organization’s mission and core values
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold standards of best practice
  • Support staff development through training and mentoring, promoting continuous learning
  • Assist in resource management, scheduling, and coordination of medication and health-related activities, where applicable
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion consistently, serving as a positive role model for colleagues and patients alike

Qualifications:
  • Valid and current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
  • Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or related settings preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, and inclusion
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed, patient-centered care

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May serve as a charge nurse or clinical lead, providing guidance and oversight to team members
